Respected Mr. Chairman:

On the occasion of the celebration of 60th anniversary of the beginning of hostilities in the Korean peninsula, the people and the Government of the Republic of Colombia express their most sincere greetings of brotherhood and friendship to the people of the Republic of Korea, as well as to the fifteen nations with which our country fought jointly in the War.

Today as yesterday, Colombia decidedly endorses the efforts of the international community to maintain and expand freedom and democratic values, which have assured, throughout these last decades, the well-being and prosperity of the people of the Republic of Korea.

Colombia, with her Korean War Veterans, emphasizes the work of the Committee that you ably chair and is pleased to announce that we will welcome with great affection and enthusiasm the Folkloric Ballet troupe, “The Little Angels,” who will visit our country within the framework of the celebration of 60th anniversary of the Korean War.
