Letter of welcome by H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg,

It is an honor for me to convey my gratitude to the Korean War 60th Anniversary Memorial Committee, chaired by the Honorable Dennis Hastert, former Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The year 2010 marks the 60th anniversary of the commemoration of the Korean War. The Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg was among the countries that fielded soldiers to answer the call for support of the Korean people and join the mission of the United Nations. While the painful impact of the Second World War could still be witnessed at home, the people of Luxembourg had kept a vivid memory of the expression of international solidarity they had benefited from to end their suffering. It is thus in that spirit of solidarity that we pay a special tribute to the veterans of the Korean War this year.

I therefore express my full support to the program established by the Memorial Committee and look forward to welcoming The Little Angels Children's Folk Ballet of Korea in Luxembourg.
