January 1, 2010 - Year of Tribute to Korean War Veterans

As Mayor of the District of Columbia, it gives me great pleasure to welcome the Little Angels Children's Folk Ballet of Korea to Washington, DC, on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary commemorating the Korean War.

As Ambassadors of Peace and Good Will, your performances during this year honor those brave Americans who gave their time, talents and lives so that the Korean people could have the freedom to prosper in a democratic environment. We are honored that you have chosen our nations capital as part of this 16 Nation Tour. I invite you to enjoy the beauty and history of our city during your stay including laying a wreath at the Korean War Memorial on June 25, 2010 and performing at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
